Algeria is one of the markets of choice for RC REDOL’s business, both in terms of exports and the provision of services. That’s why we weren’t surprised when AICEP – Agência para o Investimento e Comércio Externo de Portugal (Portuguese Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade) revealed at the end of last year that between January and August 2023 Portuguese exports to this market had risen by 154 per cent. The aforementioned news item can be found at this LINK, with confirmation that, from our point of view, we have indeed seen a positive development in activity towards this country, which has a very significant weight in the Maghreb and is Africa’s fourth largest economy. We expect this trend to continue, a forecast that AICEP also confirms for 2024 and which indicates that Algeria has the capacity to be an attractive market for exports, but that it also has the potential to grow as a producer of processed products.
Any of these indicators are positive for RC REDOL’s business in the Maghreb, and are a sign of the growth we want for the companies we work with. This is why we continue to dedicate our efforts to ever closer and more fruitful co-operation with the countries of North Africa.
