sWith a degree in Chemical Engineering, Ana Gonçalves has worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry for 43 years, having worked as Director of Technical Services, Quality Control, Quality Assurance and finally Pharmaceutical Services, in two leading Pharmaceutical Laboratories: Sterling Winthrop (21 years) and Hovione (22 years). Between 2000 and 2005, she was a member of the European Expert Group 7 (antibiotics) of the EUROPEAN PHARMACOPOEIA. After retiring in December 2013, she has remained active as a consultant for several national pharmaceutical laboratories in the area of FDA and European inspections, Gap Assessments and GMP Training.
Throughout her professional career, she has specialised in the following areas: Process development and validation of analytical methods; Development of formulations for dry powder inhalers (DPI) (Feasibility tests and DoE studies to improve formulations); Maintenance and improvement of facilities for manufacturing solid formulations; Audits for FDA inspections; GMP training; Innovation; Idea generation; Support for existing ideas and Optimisation and Improvement of Activities.
Dr Marta Diniz has a degree in Applied Chemistry, a master’s degree in Biochemistry, and a PhD in Sustainable Chemistry, all from the Faculty of Science and Technology at NOVA University Lisbon. He specialised in Organic Chemistry and has dedicated most of his time to teaching (14 years) and research (15 years), in projects ranging from synthetic ecstasy to natural anthocyanins, including fluorescent nanomaterials for imaging and detection. A Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Industry made her want to contribute to innovative solutions in this field, which is why she changed careers.
Working at RC REDOL since 2023 has allowed her to evolve in GMP training – which enables us to train and develop highly competent and qualified professionals to work in the pharmaceutical industry – and to make a difference in clients, acting in regulatory compliance with Gap Assessment Audits!
