8th July * World Allergy Day

The Allergy World Day is celebrated on the 8th of July. There are several types of allergies, which affect nearly 20% of the world’s population, impairing their well-being and health.

Allergies are usually diagnosed after the event of a suspicion and by medical recommendation, through blood tests, skin tests or contact tests. The most common pathologies of this kind are reactions to food or pharmaceuticals, skin allergies and nasal and ocular allergies.

Allergy treatments can take many forms, be it anti-inflammatories, oral anti-histamines and nasal corticosteroids, ocular eye drops and anti-allergy vaccines, therefore, before you are subject to any kind of treatment, it is highly recommended to see a physician.
